Adding Indicators to Your Chart
Metrax makes it easy to add technical indicators to your charts. This guide will walk you through the process of adding and configuring indicators like RSI, MACD, and Moving Averages.
Step 1: Open the Indicators Panel
Click the Indicators button in the top toolbar of your chart. This will open the indicators library.
Step 2: Search for an Indicator
Use the search bar to find the indicator you want to add. Popular choices include:
- RSI (Relative Strength Index): Measures momentum and overbought/oversold conditions
- MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence): Trend-following momentum indicator
- Moving Averages: Simple (SMA), Exponential (EMA), or Weighted (WMA)
Step 3: Configure Settings
Once you select an indicator, a settings panel will appear. Here you can customize:

- Source: Price data used (Close, Open, High, Low, or custom)
- Style: Color, thickness, and line type
- Overlay: Whether the indicator appears on the main chart or in a separate panel
Example: Adding RSI
- Search for “RSI” in the indicators library
- Click to add it to your chart
- Adjust the period to 14 (standard setting)
- Choose Close as the source
- Set overbought level to 70 and oversold to 30
